Peserta kursus kecemasan terima sijil

KUALA BELAIT, 25 Dis - Kira-kira 20 orang peserta Kursus Kecemasan anjuran Persatuan Bulan Sabit Merah(PBSM) cawangan Daerah Belait menerima sijil penyertaan pada majlis penyerahan sijil di Dewan Serbaguna Rumah Tumpangan Kerajaan di sini baru-baru ini.
Hadir selaku tetamu kehormat dan seterusnya menyempurnakan majlis penyampaian sijil ialah Pengerusi Lembaga Bandaran Kuala Belait dan Seria, Awang Haji Ishak bin Haji Abu Hanifah.
Pengerusi PBSM cawangan Daerah Belait, Awang Chai Yum Fatt berkata, projek memberikan kursus kepada pekerja-pekerja di restoran dan gerai itu merupakan program berterusan bersama Jabatan Bandaran Kuala Belait dan Seria untuk memberikan pengetahuan kepada para peniaga restoran dan gerai tentang cara betul menghadapi pelanggan mengalami kecemasan semasa berada di kedai mereka dan memberikan bantuan kecemasan sebelum tibanya ambulans.
Kursus tersebut yang pertama kali dianjurkan diadakan pada 28 November lalu selama dua hari, dikendalikan Ketua Jurulatih PBSM cawangan Daerah Belait, Awang Haji Ajak bin Haji Serudin.
Antara yang diajarkan kepada peserta cara asas memberikan pertolongan kecemasan serta cara memberikan rawatan kepada mereka menghadapi kecemasan termasuk rawatan CPR, tercekik, membalut tangan patah serta cara betul mengangkat pesakit ke pengusung.
Semua peserta diberikan latihan secara praktikal dan teori di sepanjang kursus yang berlangsung di ibu pejabat PBSM cawangan Daerah Belait di Jalan Nakhoda Ragam.

Fun celebrity futsal match next month

RYAN Fayyad' Event Management company and the Brunei Darussalam Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) have joined forces to organise a celebrity futsal match between Bruneian artistes and Malaysian artistes which will take place on December 24, 2011 at the Indoor Stadium in Berakas.
"An entertaining futsal match," was how Hj Tajuddin Hj Muhammad, Ryan Fayyad' Event Management manager, described the upcoming futsal friendly. "We want people to enjoy the match and it is not going to be a serious one but will focus more on entertaining the crowd. Last year, the participants had made the crowd laugh especially when one of the participants chased the referee around the pitch. "That is the kind of entertainment the public will be treated to," he added.
Participating in the match would be Malaysia's Shaheizy Sam, Nabil Raja Lawak, Angah Raja Lawak, Jap Sepah, Yus Jambu and Tauke Jambu. From Brunei, the team will be made up of local radio DJs Daffy and Riz who will be joined by actors Hj Yahya Berudin and Hj Mohammad Firdaus Hj Salleh, Alwi (lead singer of local band 5.10am), Ak Hairul Azmi Pg Hj Tengah (bassist of D'Hask) and Hardee (The Seeds' guitarist).
The co-organisers met up at Giant Hypermarket Tasek Rimba yesterday morning to officially open up a booth to sell the tickets for the second celebrity futsal match which will be held on December 24, 2011 at 8.30 pm at the Indoor Stadium in Berakas. All those who are interested to watch the entertaining one-of-a-kind futsal match which will guarantee a night of fun and laughter are now able to purchase the tickets from the booth set up in Giant Hypermarket Tasek Rimba.
Customers can also purchase the tickets from Wywy Restaurant, BZY Restaurant in Jerudong and Terazza Restaurant.Apart from the fun, part of the proceeds will be donated by the Brunei Red Crescent Society for the Humanitarian Aid Fund for Somalia's famine victims. Tickets are priced at $50 for VIP seats, which will include packed food, a meet-the-fans session and dinner, whereas regular tickets are priced at $15, which allows fans free seating also inclusive of packed food.
