If there is a suspected head, neck or back injury and there is a clear, open airway, do not move the victim unnecessarily. If the victim is breathing and unconscious or if you are alone and must seek help, place the victim on his/her side, maintaining in-line stabilization. Rotate the victim to other side after 30 minutes.
