Bandar Seri Begawan - The Brunei-Muara District's Red Crescent
Society conducted a cleaning campaign at the Limbungan cemetery area in
Bandar Seri Begawan yesterday.
Some 80 personnel of the Brunei-Muara District Red Crescent Society
participated in the cleaning campaign, comprising 50 students and 30
officers.
The cleaning campaign at cemeteries is part of the society's annual
religious activity, which started in 2010. Since they started, more
religious activities were added every year, which include tahlil
recitation.
In an interview with Hj Muhd Suhaimi bin Hj Ibrahim, Director of the
Brunei-Muara Red Crescent Society, he said, "As a Red Crescent society,
many would think that we only work in the first-aid related field.
However, we do more work that relates to helping the community and we
are active in lending a helping hand as part of our social
responsibility"
The Brunei-Muara Red Crescent Society recently helped the BIBD Sirah
Amal project by identifying a total number of 61 less fortunate families
in the Brunei-Muara and Temburong Districts.
