RBAF Receives Uniformed Association

Berakas Garrison, Friday 29 August 2008 – Royal Brunei Armed Forces' (RBAF) Military Cadets team at Berakas Garrison Shooting Field was visited by the Co-Curricular Education Department of the Ministry of Education with the objective of learning how to manage and properly organise cadet training and administration activities.


The visiting entourage, led by the Acting Assistant Director of Co-Curricular Education, Ali Hj Ismail, consisted over 51 supervising teachers and members of uniformed teams who were also accompanied by officers from the Co-Curricular Education Department. The teams included Police cadets, Fire and Rescue cadets, Scouts, Girl Guides and Red Crescent members from various schools.


During the visit, the uniformed teams had the opportunity to have a closer look at how RBAF handles and carries out their training activities, such as shooting and proper use of weapons. The visitors also witnessed various demonstrations of routine cadet training activities such as setting up tents, emergency first aid practices and use of radio communications.Welcoming the visitors and leading them on a tour of the facilities was Commanding Officer of the RBAF Military Cadet Team, Major Idris OKMB Hj Othman.
